Publisher doocuments viewable in other programs?

We recently upgraded to Microsoft 2003 Basic Edition, no Publisher. Boss
wouldn't committ to the cost. I have a great brochure that I worked up for
the company in Publisher. I have the saved file but cannot open it. Is
there any way that I can convert it to Word format or something where I can
use this brochure once again? All that hard work down the drain! HELP!

If you send me the brochure I will convert it to Word, the formatting will not be the
same, but all the elements will be intact.
