Publisher Freezes when asked to save or close

I'm trying to build a multi-page publication, and it was going great one day
then the next, it stopped responding to save or close. It won't respond to
the Recovery Force Closure, so I have to restart the PC, this causes me to
loose to my work. Does anyone have any ideas?

Did you make any changes to your system?

Look in the temporary folder, you may get lucky, Publisher might have produced a
temporary file. Type %temp% in the address bar of Windows Explorer, look for
files that have a pub prefix, change the .tmp to .pub and try opening the file.

What version Publisher are you using? What version Windows? Vista creates Shadow
copies. Open Vista's help and read about shadow copies.

I found the document in the temp file listed as pub 1D2, I opened it from
there w/Publisher 2003,though I used 2007 to create it. The whole file was
there, but when I try to open it from the Publiser start page, only part of
it comes up. How do I get it to open completely. I'm using Windows XP.
