Publisher Image Problem

O

OMAR

whenever i copy/paste into pub2000, it brings up the "not
enough memory" message.

I've posted about this before, but you havent been able to
solve my problem. i posted a reply to my original post
after being told to disable the "script blocking"
and "office plug-in", and my reply seems to have
disappeared (no, I'm not seeing things). i also noticed
someone else had the identical problem to me so i posted a
reply there, as that person had been advised to do the
same thing as me, and said the solution suggested didnt
work. that reply too had disappeared (post:"using pub 2000
on XP".

-------------------------

anyway, i have disabled the office plug-in, and the script
blocking in Norton, and it still brings up the same
message when i paste into publisher. i've now totally
uninstalled norton systemworks2003, and it still paste
intp publisher.

my computer is a 2.8GHZ, 512RAM, 30GB hard drive,
toshiba "satellite" notebook. i use winXP, and office XP -
except publisher2000.

any more ideas how to solve the problem?

Does this happen for every publication? Text and/or graphics? Publisher 2000 does not
compress images and files tend to get very large. Do you have the correct graphics
filters installed?
You may have to do a fix if this is a Norton problem

yes, it happens in every publication, but i've only tried
images before. it never pastes anything into publisher,
and norton has been totally uninstalled, but it behaves
the same way every time. its a brand-new computer, so its
very strange that it should do that.

could it be that publisher2000 doesnt work properly on
windows XP? have you ever encountered anyone else with a
problem like mine before?

There are no issues with Publisher 2000 on XP.

Have you downloaded and applied the Updates for Publisher 2000 and all the
updates for Windows XP.

The issue you describe has not previously been brought up on XP.

well it is a brand new computer, and i can only connect
one computer to the internet in my house, so my XP
computer is not connected. Could you tell me where i can
find the publisher2000 and windows XP updates anyway?

i have a 128MB USB Pen-drive, so i could download the
updates one-by-one onto there, and then put them on my Xp
computer.

thanks
OMAR
