Hi there

I created what I call "Portlog" using Access. When I open it - it states
Publisher name unknown. How do I put my name there? I am quite happy of how
it turned out and want people to know that I created it.

I think that you're talking about a certificate.

are you referring to people ON your network or consumers?
if it's people on your network-- I think that your network admin
should be able to help you to get a certificate using the Windows
Server 'Certificate Generator'.

I'm not sure of the exact name of it; but I show that it is an
optional windows component on Windows Server

Ruth, did you ever work for a huge software company.. in Woodinville?

Hi Aaron

I will try it the Windows Server. I don't know where to begin to find it.
Do you have any idea?

I am not the same Ruth that worked in Woodinville. Just an amateur really.

It opens -- there is no security issue with it right now. I just want my
name on it for bragging rights.
Is there a way to do this in Access itself? It is just the one that I
created so far, and I want people who use it to know who created it.

You can create a custom splash screen, but most computers today are so fast
that no one will have time to read it. I suggest building a startup form, or
adding your name to it if you already have one. You can also build an
"About" form that is accessible from other forms.

Thank-you

I put my name on the startup form as suggested.
