Publisher not opening multiple web pages

Hi, since upgrading to 2007 I have been unable to open my multiple page
website in publisher. Instead I'm forced to open and edit individual pages
and then they get saved as odd sounding pages like page 437, etc. I've lost
track of the original 2003 website and recently had to upload the website off
the web. How do I open all multiple pages in one go in publisher?

You should not have been editing the .htm files. Publisher is not a code
editor. You open the original Publisher file (.pub), make your changes and
Publish to the Web to produce new web files that you upload to your site.
Under Web Page Options you can choose a custom file name if you prefer that
to Page###.htm format.

It was possible to produce "rich" html code with Pub 2003 that had Office
tags (very bloated code), that made it possible to open your web pages (.htm
files) in Publisher, though it wasn't recommended. Pub 2007 only produces
"filtered" html code now which will limit you to opening just one page at a
time.

If you don't have the original Pub file, you will have to rebuild it by
opening the .htm file for each page in Publisher and saving as a .pub file,
and then copy and pasting the pages to one file.

David, thanks for this. You helped me to remember a few of the basiucs again
- so I've reconstructed the website as per your cut and paste suggestion. I'm
ready to add some further functionality now - so I'll be posting a few more
queries no doubt. Thanks.

Thanks for posting back. Sorry your solution was to rebuild your site, but
at least you are on the right track now.

I will address your other queries later, if someone else doesn't.
