Publisher published website content appears on far right only

Does anyone know why when I publish my website using Publisher all of my
content 'appears off screen' (ie: all of the content is there but you have to
scroll a complete screen width right in order to see it) ?

There are no other formatting problems (ie: although shifted right it
appears as expected). Publisher preview displays correctly (ie: appears on
left hand side as expected). If you would like to see what I mean the site is
at www.salesdirectorplus.com

Many thanks.

Your page starts to load on the left, until GoDaddy starts to load. It
appears that GoDaddy may be framing your site. Check GoDaddy FAQs or email
them about the issue, as your Publisher site is working fine.

Now this is a turn up.
Your page seems to load OK in Firefox but not in Microsofts famous IE
which it supposed to be good for.

To be serious I think you have overlapping objects which are not a good
thing to have.

Thank you for your reply.
Please forgive my lack of experience with Publisher, but please could you
expand on how I can avoid overlaps ?

Ithink I know what you mean, so I have moved my content to the top of the
page and now I can't work out how to move it all down the page far enough so
as not to overlap with the Go Daddy ad banner. When I just 'select all' and
use my mouse to move everything down I still have the same problem. Any idaes
?

First -- This problem should be aired in
microsoft.public.publisher.webdsign because that's where more
knowledgeable people than me will see it.

If you look at each object on your page separately you would never know
but if you select a number of objects at once you will see that the
boxes they are in will overlap in some places. If you can move or shrink
each object to not touch another you may get somewhere but I am sure
DavidF or David Bartosik would know better than I do.

To add to what John said, you can find overlaps and other potential problems
with a Pub web page by running the Design Checker. You can also generally
avoid accidental overlaps by using the Snap To function.

But again, I don't think that is your main problem. I went to GoDaddy, and
the banner that is giving you problems is part of the deal to get free
hosting. It is ad supported: "Ad-supported Web sites contain relevant online
advertising on a small portion of the site...". I don't know if GoDaddy
simply frames your site so they can load the ads, or if they give you a code
snippet to insert into your site via the insert HTML code fragment feature.
If its the first, you need to contact GoDaddy support, and ask them why your
content is being displaced by the ad, or perhaps go back over their
instructions about how to incorporate their ad into your site. If you are
having problems inserting a code snippet, then post back with the exact
steps you are taking to insert the ad code into your Pub doc, and perhaps we
can help.

And with that said, your best solution is to pay for hosting, and get rid of
the ads! You are trying to present yourself as professional consultant. What
kind of image do you think you are projecting using a free ad supported web
host? What do you suppose that does to your credibility? Would you hire a
consultant that was too cheap to pay $5 a month for paid hosting without
ads? Seriously...pay for hosting and get rid of the banner and the problem
that way.
