publisher wont merge with access

I wish to create a church addresss book in Publisher 2002. What is the best
method to do this which will enable me to edit the address book twice yearly,
and re-print when new mwbers are added alphabetically.???

Anyone? Please don't tell me access is rubbish, I'am looking for genuine
help.

I use Access for almost all my merges, the data list Publisher produces is Access.
You can use any data base, Excel, a Word table, even Works. It is your call.

I manage an Access database for a 400 member professional organization. I
have been able to meet all printed directory needs by creating reports in
Access. As long as the data is up-to-date, any report will also be current.
Might you be better off trying this, rather than pullling the information
into Publisher?

getting an error message when trying to merge from a *.mdb file?
