Publishing a Form

Hi Everyone,

I've created a form using Frontpage to be published on a pre-existing site.
In detail, the site is hosted by petfinder.com. I've been given a login for
my own FTP and I can't figure out how to get just my form on my site. Can
anyone help me with this?

FrontPage forms require FrontPage Server Extensions installed on the host
server, and you must publish using http protocol, not FTP. FTP'd forms will
not work, and FTPing to a site with extensions will corrupt the extensions.

So, you need to contact your host to see if extensions are installed.

Tom,

Thanks for your reply. I'm sorry if I seem like a retard but I don't
completely understand.

You said they gave you a FTP login. Thus, you are transferring your files
to your remote website via FTP, which indicates that the host does *not*
have FrontPage Server Extensions available, which are required for the FP
forms to work.

You need to check with your host to see if they have extensions available,
and to give you the proper credentials to HTTP publish, not FTP. If they do
not have extensions, you can't use FP forms. In that case, your host *may*
have some sort of forms available for you to use in their environment.

*If* the host does in fact have extensions, you cannot FTP to the remote
server, as it will corrupt them, and the forms won't work.
