Hi, again!
Last week I posted a question about a publishing error. Kudos to
Stefan Rusynko for the suggestions (deleting tempfiles, re-registering
dll's, etc)!
The problem wasn't solved, but I have some more info now, which will
hopefully spark some new advice from those of you more experienced
than me
Facts:
- The website runs SE2002.
- The client is set up as an advanced author, using FP2003.
- She CAN open the live website, edit, use components, save, etc.
- She CAN publish the opened site back to a webfolder on her local HD.
- She CAN open websites from folders on her local HD and edit them.
- She CAN NOT publish the opened site from her local HD to the live
website!
Her error message is still:
"You do not have permission to do this operation. Ask your web site
administrator to change your permissions and then try again, or log on
with a user account that has this permission. To log on with a
different user account click OK."
I have reproduced the above behaviour using FP2000. However, FP2000
keeps prompting me for a username and password when trying to publish,
as opposed to an error message.
Anyone, please?
Regards,
Eric
