Publishing New Outline Codes

Steve W.

We have modified one enterprise project outline code and added another. I
know that in order for the new codes to be pushed to Project Server, every
project manager has to republish each of their projects. Since the project
managers may not have changed resource assignments, is it better that they
publish their projects using the Publish "All Information" or "Project Plan"
option? Using the "New and Changed Assignments" option does not work unless
the project manager has changed the resource assignments in some manner.

Thanks

Use the "Republish Assignments" option and suppress e-mail notifications for
that publishing event (unless assignments have changed).

Since you have changed/added Project outline codes, you need only publish
the projects. Your PM's can click either Collaborate - Publish - Project
Plan or Collaborate - Publish - All Information to do so. I prefer the All
Information route myself, since it publishes anything that needs to be
published. If there are no changes to the resource assignments, then this
option publishes only the project plan. Hope this helps.
