Publishing Problem: Listing Pages on Server doesn't stop

Lisa

I use FrontPage 2000 and have almost 95MB (100MB is my
current capacity) of information and images on my
website. I was cleaning up some files and images
directly off the FTP this morning (something I have done
before with no problem). When I went to publish my
changes, it connected fine, asked my username and
password, listed files on my computer, listed files
already published, asked if I wanted to make a couple of
the changes I requested and whether I answer yes or no,
it goes back to listing and doesn't stop...or publish. I
left it for over an hour and it kept saying the same
thing. And there isn't that much changed info. Any
advice? I called tech support for my host and they told
me it was a FrontPage problem. I'm not convinced it is,
but I have an open mind. I thought it might be a space
problem, but I don't think so. When that happens, I get
an Insufficient Disk Space message. Any ideas would be
appreciated! Lisa

If the remote server has the FP extensions, then you should never use FTP to manage your content
when the site has the FP extensions.

Open the site directly in FP on the remote server and run Tools | Recalculate Hyperlinks, then you
should publish back to your local machine so that both copies are in sync.

The Recalculate Hyperlinks command does the following:

- Repairs all hyperlinks in your Web
- Updates information for all FrontPage-based components,
including shared borders and navigation bars
- Synchronizes Web data, database information, and categories
