We have several websites, all using FrontPage. The server
is Windows 2003 IIS 6.0. When publishing, sometimes the
site will lock us out for awhile. Fixing the website
within the server or even reinstalling extensions does
not help. Reboot corrects the problem. Obviously, we
don't want to reboot the server.
FrontPage is 2002 or 2000. Both are fully updated. Both
do not work on the site. Most sites work, but the problem
has occured on several different sites. All are
relatively small sites. Not complex.
The problem is corrected by keeping a master site copy on
the client computer and publishing only changed pages. At
least so far.
