Publishing 'Proposed' resources in Project Server 2007

It seems that a process that worked well in 2003 (publishing ALL, with some
resources booking type set to proposed and then NOT filling their task sheet)
has gone away in 2007. There is only the \File\Publish command and it fills
task sheets for resources that are proposed. Resources can even update those
assignments. This seems wrong. BTW, it does appear that the allocation
doesn't show on the View Availability page and that you can then include
'Proposed' bookings on the view, but this does not sync at all with the task
sheet. Am I missing something?

I have confirmed the same behavior you see. I added a resource to a project
team and set the Booking type to Proposed. I assigned the resource to four
tasks and then published the project. The team member can see his tasks on
the My Tasks page, but CANNOT see the tasks on the My Timesheet page.
Because we are in the early days of working with Project Server 2007 RTM, I
can't say for certain that this is a bug, but it certainly seems so. I
would think that team members who are Proposed should not see tasks until
their Booking type is changed to Committed. For the moment, I guess we all
need to live with it. Hope this helps.
