Publishing tasks updates and what the Home page shows

H

Huckey

Hi all,
when my project resources submit task updates I process them in
under Task Updates link. When I have approved the updates I have to
publish them. I mark the tasks to publish and click on Publish button.

It seems though that PWA publishes the whole project again. As a
consequence my users Home page shows in the first line in Reminders
section "You have X new tasks assigned to you" where X is the total
number of tasks where they are Assignment Owners and not the number of
new tasks.

Is there a way to publish only the tasks with approved updates so
that the number of new tasks shown on the Home page shows really the
number of NEW tasks assigned to the user?

Thanks!

Best regards

Huckey

There is not an automatic way, but you can choose which tasks are published
by inserting the Publish column and selecting the new tasks to Yes, and the
old ones to No.
