Publishing to a new computer

J

JCO

Just set up another computer and I want to move my files from one to the
other. How do I open my website, using FP2003, when I don't have any files
on my harddrive? Once open, I will publish to my HD.

Open Site is the same as Open Web, just that MS decided to rename things in FP2003.

Seems to be working so far.
The only thing it wont get, of course, are the files that are tagged as
DontPublished. I can physically copy those.

You should allow them to be published, then reset back to not publish on both systems.

If they were never published to the website in the first place, they don't
exist.

I thought that you were publishing from old local to your new local so that you have an exact copy.

FYI: If you will be working on your new machine from here on, when you get ready to do your first
publish to your live/remote site, you will need to do a complete publish the first time.

Actually I decided to publish from the website to the new computer.
As you stated, I would have to republish everything to the site again
anyway, therefore, it seems easier to Publish only once.
