Publishing to server through firewall

We have a machine running Project Server 2002 that resides
outside of a firewall and a machine running Project
Professional 2002 inside the firewall. When trying to
publish a project file to the server, we encounter
a "Proxy authorization required" error. Is there a way to
set Project Professional to go through a proxy server in
order to publish? If not, what other options are there?

I think you'll need to put the server on ports that you can leave open.
