publishing web connection

i am having trouble publishing a web to a computer i have
been publishing for over a year. the only thing that has
changed is that i installed updates to my computer. i can
still use a ftp program to login and copy files, it just
don't work in frontpage 2002 sp2.

If you have FTP'd, you have probably corrupted the FP SE
- have your host reinstall / repair them

It's not the FP client software on your PC,
it's the FrontPage Server Extension on your hosted ISP (web) that need repair

"If you are prompted for the password, but you cannot open the site, either you are using the wrong user name and password, or there is an authentication problem with the way your site is configured.

i found this at MS knowldge base site. this problem came after i updated win 2000. i am thinking one of the updates screwed up FPs publishing ability. i don't have another site to test publish to.
