I posted the same problem yesterday. If I get an answer, I'll share it with
you. The only thing I have found online that makes some sense... did you
happen to take off and re-install your FrontPage ? I did, and read somewhere
that it might be a problem in the registry. Apparently when you take off
FrontPage it leaves something in the registry such that when you re-install
and then try to use it, the computer thinks you are already using port 80 so
you get that message. Oddly enough I'm able to edit using WORD and it works
fine, so I do think it's a FrontPage issue. Good luck.

Test your ability to open the online site in FP by using
File Open Site and entering the URL as http://www.yoursitename.com/
and in IE browse to the site and try File Edit w/ FP

PS
If using FP 2003 you can reverse publish

I had the same problem as I said and got it fixed today by calling Microsoft
when I could have done it myself. I went into my firewall and got a list of
things that are listed as allow access and block...and FrontPage was blocked!
I think this happened when I reinstalled it...once I unblocked it I stopped
getting that message and everything worked fine...so check out your
firewall..let me say, I had disabled my firewall and it still did not
work...so that's not diagnostic as apparently it can block even when
disabled!!!

Hope this works.

I thought we had suggested you check your firewall in the other thread...oh well...glad to see you have it ironed out.
