Publishing website to domain using 1&1.com

Tyler

I just subscribed to 1&1.com using my domain called airsoftroyale.com
I do not want to use their web builder, i want to use my publisher file. How
can I do this? I do not know how to publish my web pages to my website.

If anyone has any experience with the web hosting service 1and1.com, i could
really use your help. Thanks so much for your input

Which version of Publisher are you using? Which version of IE? Are you using
XP or Vista? Does you website have a form in it?

Create your Web Page in Publish, then go to File=>Publish to Web and save
under your name (my company is TCI, so I saved mine as tci.htm).

Once the files are saved on your hard drive, you need to upload all of them
to 1 and 1. So, log on to 1 and 1, go to your package. Go to Web Space &
Access and choose WEbspaceExplorer. Either Create a new folder and
transfer/upload to it or upload to the root. You need to transfer all of the
files and unfortunately, it is one at a time this way.

I am pretty new to Publisher and 1 and 1, so I figure there has to be a
better way to upload, however, this is the only way I figured so far. Let me
know if you have a better way..... probably a simple FTP client will work
better.

FYI....here is my web site ... www.titaniumconsultant.com/TCI.

Now all I have to do is make a better web page, update my google sitemap and
???

Good Luck,

Brian

ok well i got it up and running after a coupple hours of messing around. I
had to download wise ftp client then rename my html document index.htm

My website was working fine for one day. then something weird happened. when
i visited my site today all that showed up was a weird error 403 message. Ive
spent much time trying to fix this but its not working. If you have any idea
on why this is happening please let me know.

Nice website by the way.

Thanks, Tyler

Hi Tyler,

I'm not sure what a 403 error is, but when I uploaded my files, I placed my
HTM file TCI.HTM in the root directory and created a new directory called
TCI_files (exactly like what Publisher created) and placed those files there.
Everything works okay.

Thanks,

Brian
