Is it a good idea, when publishing from the live web back to my computer's
archives drive (for a backup copy) to publish back to the same file all the
time, or is it better to just create a clean file each time?dargill

If you're opening the live site in FrontPage and
publishing to a spot on computer, you may as well use the
same location every time. This will speed up the transfer.

If you're retrieving your Web by FTP, always copy into a
blank folder. Otherwise, you'll keep backing up outdated
files that you deleted on the live site.

Just don't publish back to the working copy of your Web,
because that copy may contain unfinished work you want to
save.
