Pubs Keep large file size after pages are deleted

I am using Pub 2003. I have a quick reference guide that has 123 pages with
graphics the size of the document is 72,503 MB. I deleted everything except
17 pages but the document size is STILL 71,881 MB.

In previous discussion groups I found the two links listed below. I looked
under Objects > Design Gallery Object but I have only 3 tabs, Objects by
Category, Objects by Design, and My Objects. I looked at any "options"
buttons but could not find a tab called "Extra Content".

I have a total of 6 QRGs with this problem -- any other ideas? It would seem
this is a big problem for folks like me who keep updating/revising the same
publications -- have they come up with a "patch"?

Are your images scanned pictures? The place to look is the pictures. If they are
high-resolution they will make your publication much larger.
