As long as the mouse is over the dropdown or the calendar, it remains open.
What mouse drivers do you have?
If you are entering dates like "3 weeks from today" you don't need to look
them up - outlook understands natural language, so phrases like that are
converted to a date (no quotes though) or save typing and use shortcuts like
3w. Even typing dates you know - 12/25 for example - are faster than using
the calendar. You can enter the date as 12.25 and outlook converts it to
12/25/2004 for you. (You can use periods in place of colons in time fields
too.) Simple equations work too - 11.10+3w is converted to 12/1.

When I add a task, you are suppose to use the pull down calander. I can
click on the down arrow and see the calander but i cant use it. the
moment i
move my mouse it goes away so i have to type in the date. I dont always
know
the date that i would like to use so the pull down calander is very
helpful.
