Pull down menus - Do not work

I am using Office Mac 2001. I have not done anything to my
Mac and the Word software started to act up. First, it
would crash when ever I used spell check. Now, I can not
use the following pull down menus: Tools, tables, Window
and Work. I have tried reloading the software and the
problem continues. Any ideas?

I too had this problem and I found the solution at

I don't know why it happens but it has happened a couple times to me
and this always fixes it. I usually use the Dysfunctional
Menus/Submenus solution. Hope this helps you out.
