Pulling msn email into Outlook 2000

Ummzee

I want to use Outlook 2000 as my default mail application. I have tried to
use the following POP3 & SMTP Mail Servers addresses "pop.mail.msn.com" and
"stmp.mail.msn.com" to import my mail from msn. I pay for extra storage so
the option to pull my email is available to me.

I loaded service pack 2 for win xp pro and nothing has been the same since.
I had to take my laptop back to factory settings. I have not been able to get
my mail back into Outlook 2000 since then.

What am I doing wrong.

All help is appreciated

Try disabling the Windows firewall or adding Outlook to its list of
exceptions.

Check with MSN to see if you have POP mail instead of HTTP even though you
pay for extra storage. I doubt that you do. If it's HTTP, you can't use
Outlook 2000. You'll have to upgrade to 2003 or use your browser for free or
OE--and pay extra for OE use.

MSN email and MS Outlook 2000

Thankks mary,

I will do this. Getting MSn on the phone is like pulling teeth but I will
try. I had my mail coming into outlook 2000 before I downloaded service pack
2 but have not been sucessful since I had to take the computer back to
factory settings. In fact it disabled all the MS software I had on my
machine. Figure that one out, after all they are all MS products!!!

Thanks again, I will let you know if I was sucessful.
