Purge items marked fro deletion on IMAP folders

Items deleted in IMAP folders are only marked for
deletion. To fully delete them a manually click
of 'Purge deleted messages' is required. Is there a way
to purge automatically?

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
