Put audio/video on Frontpage

J

Joe S

How come you can't easily put audio on Frontpage? I want to put a button so
people can click on it to hear what is on that particular page.

Also, how can you easily put video on Fontpage? It's stupid that you can't
do either of these things easily!

The web took off when pictures could be shown. Isn't the next logical step
to have audio/video on web sites?

Or depending on how you feel about it, you can just put a link directly to
the item. From there a person can choose to save it or play it. I have
actually seen a lot more sites doing this option lately.

If you don't mind mucking with the code a bit, you can modify the HTML to
display videos and play sound bites. Check out the following tips to learn
how:

I tried your code and it didn't work for me. I ended up installing the
Active X control and got it to work in frontpage preview just fine but when I
uploaded it, it wouldn't work. I contacted my host provider to see if I
needed some add-ons installed on my hosting service and they said that most
problems are at the clients end.
