put dissertation notes in access

I want to use access 2007 to organize my dissertation notes. I'm wondering
what to use as the unique field since I will be using two main lists of
ideas, but not always at the same table.
Thanks for any advice.

Define "organize". Sounds that could be a fair amount of work for
someone not focused on being a programmer.

Microsoft OneNote might be a better solution.
