Put Text Anchor Point BACK into Word for centering text in box.

Unable to center text in an Autoshape in Word 2003. The only way I have found
to do it is to do it in PowerPoint and then copy into Word or use the Tab key
inside the box, which isn't very effective.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

Thanks!

Center it in relation to what? Have you tried right-click, Format AutoShape (or
something like that), Layout, Advanced, Picture position? That gives you all
kinds of options for aligning relative to the page, to the margins or to the
text.

You can center text horizontally in any text box using Ctrl+E. Word does not
offer the ability to center text vertically in text boxes, but you can get
around this by inserting a single table cell and setting the vertical
alignment in the cell to Center. Note, however, that, although your subject
line suggests that Word has had this feature in the past, it has never
offered it.

Thanks, Suzanne! It worked! Until MS puts a Text Anchor Point into the
AutoShape format to make it easier to do, this will work great! Also, what I
did was remove the border around the table cell, and there it was! Appreciate
your help!
Thanks!
