Put the Shortcut Bar back in Office 2003 Pro

Microsoft should have a Shortcut Bar available for this product. I do not
like having to install from a previous version.

you can send MS a suggestion here.

You can install the office SCB from a older version of Office or to
create a Shortcut Tool Bar for Office 2003 using the Windows task Bar.
Create a folder with shortcuts for all office programs. Right Click On
the Task Bar select Toolbars New Toolbar and Navigate to the folder
containing your Office shortcuts and select it, click OK. However if
you drag the toolbar off the Task Bar and then later close after using
the toolbar you will need to recreate it to use again.

There are some other alternatives as well if you search the news group
you will find some of the other alternatives that are offered. I
personally like perfect menu for it's functionality

That is an alternate solution, but isn't feasable in a large environment. If
you install a previous version the office update wants to update the older
version. MS needs to provide a shortcut bar via download or service pack.

They do have a shortcut, it's called the Toolbar. You can make the exact
same toolbar that used to come with older versions of Office.

Right-click on your XP toolbar. Select Toolbars, New Toolbar. You can
drag any shortcut you want onto that toolbar.

This toolbar is much more useful. Not only can it be moved anywhere you
want it, it can be docked, or placed in the taskbar.

By the way, this is why Microsoft stopped including the Office toolbar.
It's now redundant.
