putlook newsreader

hi!

i use outlook 2003 and when i want to read news i have to open outlook first
and then click on news button... I would like to know where on disk is
program stored so i can make shortcut on my desktop to run it more easily...

Outlook isn't a newsreader, so it launches OE for news. You can make a
shortcut to outlook express and specify the /outnews or /newsonly switch -
try creating a shortcut to "msimn.exe /outnews" (no quotes) on your desktop
and try it.

It's Outlook Express. Just add the "/outnews" switch (without the quotes) to
the target.

The program Outlook uses to read news is nothing more than Outlook Express
invoked with the /outnews switch. If you want a shortcut to it, create one
whose target is:

"%ProgramFiles%\Outlook Express\msimn.exe" /outnews

Note the quotes and spaces. They're required.
