Putting back "Web collections"

S

Spudmachine

Hello,
I'm inserting clipart in Powerpoint 2007.

In the "Search in" field I only see "My collections" and "Office collections".

I seem to remember I should also wee "Web collections". As you can imagine,
I don't see many clipart items displayed when I search :)

Does anyone know how I can get this to display again (I assume it must have
been there at one time).

Cheers,

Yes, you should see "web collections," too.

Try running Diagnostics. It's in Office Button | PPT Options | Resources.

Hi Echo,
Thanks for the suggestion, but diagnostics apparently did not find a problem.

I searched the MSKB with no joy either.

Any other ideas?

Cheers,
SPuD

Wow. No idea -- never seen this one before.

Hm. If you run a custom installation of Office, you can get in there and see
all the individual parts and pieces you can install. Maybe try that (from
Windows Control Panel / Add-Remove Programs (or whatever it is in your
flavor of Windows)) and poke around especially in the shared Office stuff.

I'd think the ability to see "web collections" or online stuff in general
should be installed automatically, but who knows.

Oh, wait...that sparks an idea...

If you go to Office Button | PPT Options | Trust Center, there's a Privacy
Options tab. What do you have checked there?

Hi Echo,
Your inspiration inspired me too! I checked with a colleague and his
PPT2007 is the same as mine - no Web Collection. We both have company
laptops with a standard image, so I guess it's our IT department that in some
way has either not installed this feature by accident, or maybe it's a policy
decision (can't imagine why).

I will check with them, but thanks again for your help!

Cheers,
