have a DB with users and equipment, that i use bar
coded ids for users, and also bar coded ids for the
equipment, they check the equipment out, for hourly etc.
use. What I am having a problem doing is putting it
together on a form that my staff can use. I would like to
scann the users ID, have their record show up, or have a
add new record screen pop up if they are not in the
system, and when that is finished scan the bar code on
the item and have the current date and time place, in a
field on my utilization table, then when they return the
item, look the user up by his/her bar code and then scan
the item back in with current date and time. Ive got all
the bar coding working fine, all the tables working fine,
and could use this DB myself as is. Would a set of
subforms be where i should start putting this together.
