Putting logo on webpage tab

How do I get my logo to appear on the Explorer tab (like the M next to
Discussion Groups Home on this website)? I know how to name the page in
Website Options, but don't know how to add the logo since it's picture, not
text.

Thanks. At least now I know what it is I'm looking for. The link for the
free favicon didn't work so I searched the web and found a nifty freeware
program called ToYcon that does a variety of image conversion including ico.
Got my logo into ico format and it displays in my file directory as an icon.
I posted it to my website in the same place as my index.htm which I believe
is the root, but still get the Explorer e. Suggestion for this last step?
(Can it display in my Publisher web preview or will that always be Explorer
e?)

It has to be named favicon.ico

Try clearing you temp internet files, then book mark the page.

Also, go back to favicon.com - it works you may have to manually enter the
address in your browser, for more information (there are issues with some
browsers)

Did some follow-up research on IE and favicons
If you load a favicon to your root directory and they do NOT show up
Try This: (worked for me using XP and Vista)

IE 7 Delete Temp Internet Files
Delete History
Close IE
Open IE
Load your site

renamed the ico I created to favicon.ico. That didn't work. Went back to
favicon.com ... the link to free online editor at imageauthor.com doesn't
work. next?
