Check the license agreement that came with that copy of Office. As a general
principle, the rule for all off-the-shelf versions of Office--except for the
home & student version--is one license per user. This means, for example,
that Brigitt Officeworker could put a copy on her desktop and a copy on her
laptop. It does not mean that Brigitt Officeworker and Dave Desktop could
share that copy of Office. I'm talking about what's permitted under the
license, mind you... not what you might or might not be able to do.
I've never investigated multi-license versions, so I don't know about
pricing. But, if you have 7 or 8 distinct users, then a multi-license
version might be the most economical approach.
