I did this same thing using Word Art in Header/Footer. Not sure what version
of Word you are using but I was using Word 2000. View Header/Footer, then
insert Word Art. You can position it anywhere on the page, not just at the
top and bottom.
Format>Background
Click "Printed Watermark"
Check "Text watermark"
Type in the "Text:" you would like
For now, leave "Font:", "Size", "Color:"
Layout: check "Diagonal".........
What you are looking for is a watermark. If you have Word 2002 or 2003, use
Format | Background | Printed Watermark. For earlier versions, see “HOW TO:
Create a Watermark in Microsoft Word 2000†at http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=211324
Format>Background
Click "Printed Watermark"
Check "Text watermark"
Type in the "Text:" you would like
For now, leave "Font:", "Size", "Color:"
Layout: check "Diagonal".........
Now do it all again the way YOU would like!
