Putting ppt & txt files on a site for downloading

I am trying to follow Mr. Rowe's advice to put <? Forcing the Save As dialog>
in the Browser bar. I have tried putting that as a Query in the Parameters within the Edit Hyperlink, but it doesn't seem to be working. It appears in the browser while the page is opening (with %20 in between the words to fill the spaces), but it does not present the Open/Save As option. What am I missing?

You mis-read my post.

In your IE address bar you would enter:

? Forcing the Save As dialog

This will do a search in the default search engine set in your browser for how to "Force the Save As
Dialog". It is not something that you would enter in FP.

Thomas, that search method doesn't work for me (IE 6) all it does is comes up
with a "page/site not found" error, and thinks I was entering a site url, not a
search request.

is there a setting in Advanced options in IE to turn this search operation on?
