putting things on drawing canvas

I actually really like the drawing canvas, but I am finding it frustrating
that certain objects are not able to be pasted their. If I set up a drawing
canvas for a figure that I had previous drawn in PPT. The pasted MS Object
won't want to be put in a frame (the one with the jeweled blue border).
Please advice.

Thanks.

Hi Mattica,

What version of Office are you using and what are the steps you're using to create the object in Powerpoint and to then copy it to
Word?

Whoops, I may be in the wrong place. I thought this site was dedicated to the
new 2007Beta. At any rate, that's the version I was referring to. If you draw
a simple oval in PPT and try to copy and paste it onto a Word drawing canvas,
it won't do it. Of course, "Paste Special" would work, but I don't want to
lose resolution or edit-ability. It's just something I thought I should point
out.
