PWA 2003 OLAP cube fails repeatedly to build

MS 2003 SP2a PWA OLAP cube failed last night with the following error:

The cube scheduled to be built on 12/31/2008 at 12:25 AM failed.
(-2146233088) Server: The operation has been cancelled.

I researched, and it sounds like SP3 might fix this, is this the best
solution?

Is this an ongoing issue? Does this happen every now and again?

Joel,

this could have several reasons. change of password of your service accout,
or the com+ components may need to be restarted. Does your cube never build
and as of when did you get the error messages. generally SP update is not a
bad idea, but you should check on a test environment first.
