PWA 2007 error 0x30cb0b97 memory could not be written

All of my Users for our Project Server 2007 PWA get this error message whn
trying to check out documents from PWA. IE has encountered an error
0x30cb0b97 memory could not be written. IE then closes error reporting.
Help!!!!!!. I have seen postings where other users have reported this but no
answers or workarounds. I think it is being caused by a recent windows update
but do not have a clue as to which one. Assistance on this issues would be
greatly appreciated.

Are users still on Office 2003? I've seen opening Word before trying
to check out the sharepoint document work.
