PWA 2007: Task updates from resources - page hangs with 100+ task

A user has 363 task updates from resources pending their approval. When they
click on the link to access the Approvals.aspx page, the browser hangs.
There aren't any network issues that I know of. The problem happens when
there are more than 100 task updates from resources pending approval. Is
there a setting that needs to be modified, or is there a better method of
approving over 100 tasks at a time? Thanks in advance for any help with this
question.

I would recommend that the PM apply task updates to each project
individually using the Project Professional 2007 client. If he/she launches
Project Professional 2007 and opens an enterprise project with pending
updates, he/she will see a mesage about those pending updates. The software
will then display the Task Updates page in PWA within the Project
Professional 2007 client, and show only the task updates for that project,
which filters out all other pending task updates for other projects. He/she
can then approve or reject task updates as needed, and apply them to the
enterprise project. The beauty of this process is that the PM can
immediately see the result of applying the updates, and move into variance
analysis and plan revision immediately. Our company recommends this
procedure as a best practice for applying task updates. Just a thought.
Hope this helps.

Cool, I learn something new every day. :)
This looks like the perfect solution to me. Hopefully the user in question
will agree.
