PWA 2007 with Outlook Add-in on Outlook 2003

Running Project Server 2007
Clients have Office/Outlook 2003

Will the the Outlook Add-in work?

I've read some yes and some no?

What's the general concensus?

Yes, I believe it does work. We are running Project Server 2007 with
Outlook 2003 and it works. I'm not sure who said it wouldn't work, but
perhaps they can comment from their experience. Hope this helps.

Hi,

It doesn't work for me. Now granted, I didn't spend long on this, but I was
getting SOAP errors and I've seen this reported elsewhere.

I was playing out of idle curiosity so the moment it failed and I saw
reference to it failing for others I gave it up as a bad idea.

A search for Outlook and SOAP on this forum will reveal a few instances I
think.

So, I installed it. It's not working.

We have two PWA servers. Our development site and our production
site. I installed the plug-in from our development site.

It installed OK, but it never pulled my tasks down. I have 1 project
in our development site that has me assigned to 2 tasks. It did not
pull those tasks.

While uninstalling and trying to figure this thing out, it's now
broken. I was able to get it uninstalled, but it now will NOT
install. It says it's installed, but Outlook doesn't have the tool
bars, there is no .dll fo rme to add from the Tools menu. It's just
broken.


Anyone had this problem?
