PWA Access Problem

Project Server 2007 (SP1 + IU + Aug cum hotfixes) & SQL Server 2005

We have migrated our production machine (with project Server / Sharepoint /
SQL Server) to another box (virtualised under VMWare) and have found that
some users are now unable to access PWA - they get an "Error: Access Denied"
error screen. Note however, that they are able to open server projects in
Project Professional.
The common link seems to be the fact that their PCs were logged onto the
network at the time the old Project Server box was taken offline and the
migration was performed.

Can someone please help - this is becoming urgent.

Thanks

Perhaps something to do with cookies within IE, worth deleting all cookies.
Also, has the IP address changed, it might be worth flushing the DNS and
seeing if you can connect via the IP address rather than hostname.

Thanks Ben,

We have tried the following :

- ipconfig /flushdns
- deleted cookies in Internet Explorer
- deleted cache folder (although this should only affect Proj Prof)
- rebooted PC
- Tried "Sign in as Different User" to PWA on another PC (where the PC
owner can still access PWA) and giving login / password.

I tried logging in using the IP address of the machine, as in
http:\\10.253.17.33\pwa, but this came back with an Error screen saying that
"An unexpected error has occurred." Note also that I tried this from my PC,
and I do NOT have an access problem with PWA using the server name, so I'm
not sure if this is part of the problem, or whether Sharepoint requires the
server name in the URL ??

So nothing has worked ? What else can I try / investigate ?

Yes, tried deleting cookies, files, etc. We have found the solution however
- I simply opened the resources in the Resource Center, changed something and
changed back (this bit may not be necessary), and save. The users then had
access again.

I did try this the prior day, but didn't seeem to work - but then the user
informed me later that he did have access, so I tried with another user, and
voila !

We have this problem some time to. This is WSS Security problem. When we save
a resource from Resources Center or Manage Users, Project Server synchronize
WSS permision for PWA site. After a while the user has access.
