PWA Actuals in Timesheet View are incorrect

Jennifer

We have two instances where actuals are showing up in the PWA actual work
column that were never entered and do not show up in the project plan even
after all time as been updated. I need to know how this happened and how to
correct the problem (remove the hours that were never entered and never
worked). What is even stranger is the number of actual hours for both people
are the exact same, 313.57h.

Thanks,
Jennifer

Jennifer:

I suspect this is the result of a PM goof, but it could be a system issue.
One way for this to happen is if the PM updated the task in project, then
used the Republish feature selecting the Overwrite actual work in the
Timesheet option and then went back and updated the task again without using
the Republish feature to overwirte the actual work.

If you're confident that the Project Plans contains the correct actual work
values, you can use the replublish feature with the Overwrite actual work
selected for the affected tasks to correct the issue.

Thanks Gary. I'm assuming it was a PM goof (in my 4+ years as Project
Administrator, it usually is) so I have sent the info on to her.

Many thanks for your assistance. I greatly appreciate all of you.
