PWA Authentication

Robin Roe

Hi

We are having a problem authenticating to Project Server. Every thing was
working fine until I believe a security update was pushed on to the Project
Server.

Initially we were getting a "You are not authorized to view this page"
message, unless we logged into windows with a Domain Admins account, which
worked fine.

I then changed the security settings on the IIS to "Enable anonymous
Access". This allowed the logon page to appear and allowed Project Server
Account users to Logon, but the Windows Account logins don't work. "Windows
Integrated Authentication" is also checked in IIS.

I also have the Set the security to low and put the project server as a
trusted site on the client machines.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Robin,

This is an IIS configuration problem

The IIS authentication and access control settings for the Project
Server web site is the following:

Enable anonymous access (with IUSR_<computername> account
Integrated Windows authentication

Also check the permissions of the Project Server web site. The Users and
Groups permissions are as follows:

Administrators - ALLOW Full Control
IIS_WPG - ALLOW Read & Execute, List Folder Contents, Read
Internet Guest Account - DENY Write, DENY Special Permissions
(inherited permissions)
SYSTEM - ALLOW Full Control
Users - ALLOW Read & Execute, List Folder Contents, Read

Good Luck and let us know what you find

Cheers,
