PWA EULA looping

Mark Davey

Setup: Project server 2003 running on Server 2003
Clients running XP Pro SP2

PWA running without problem

Installed project server SP1 and now the EULA just keeps looping, have
removed the active X componets and they do get reinstalled. Have also tried
removing Project 2003 Pro from machine with no success.

Any ideas greatfully received

I am actually having this same problem with three
different users. It is more than the pop up blocker. That
is my first question.
I have actually had users check to make sure their MDAC is
updated, windows updates are completed, temp files are
deleted, .cab files have been added and nothing seems to
work.

Any other suggestions?

In addition to the pop-up blocker cause, I have also seen it caused by the
security settings in the browser. We ensured everybody added the site to the
Trusted zone and that the security setting for the trusted zone was set to
low (both set on the Tools - Internet Options - Security Tab).

I believe it is sometimes necessary to also remove the two downloaded
controls after fixing the settings and then re-accept the EULA:
1. Tools - Internet Options - General Tab
2. Settings... push button
3. View Objects... push button
4. Select and delete the objects starting with Pj
5. Close all pop-up windows and then re-launch the project server site
6. Accept the EULA

Lastly, believe it or not, we also had a couple people bookmark the EULA
page instead of the .../projectserver page.

Hope this helps.

Google toolbar was installed but even after it was removed we are still
having the same problem.
It is happening on all our machines even mine one which I have full admin
rights.

Solved it, went into c:\windows\downloaded program files and selected update
instead of remove.

Everything then works as expected
