Hi Dave, thanks for the response.
We are using Windows authenitcation. This seems to only be affectiing specific users. So far the accounts that we have looked at that are working fine seem to be Administrators and some other users with various rights to the project on the server. We have various Project Managers Team Leads, and Team Members havihg problems. Right now the Project server is only being used for our largest Project that has been on there prior to rebuild. We have some 100 users assigned to it. Our Project Server administrator created some test projects and is not having problems with them. So I would have to say that newer projects are not being affected.
SOrry for adding as a new post. I was getting a runtime error on the Microsoft community page replying to another post.
Due to the direction of the wind this week, we are not allowed to create any new test accounts, projects, issues. Essentially our hands have been tied, and we are working with our Manager to be allowed to do that to troubleshoot this problem. They have given us a test box to work with but we can't replicate the problem. Thus we are working with a sniffer, and breaking down packets, looking as the jscript to see what is happening when PWA freezes on the users.
As far as testing we found that by right-clicking on he Issues from the Issues List instead of selecting it on the IssueShell.asp page, we immediately open the Issue through STS (//server/projID/Issues/DispForm.htm) with no freezing.
Sorry for not being able to give any more information. Hopefulyl by next week we can get more rights to be able to troubleshoot the server effectively.
