PWA "Gantt Chart Formats": Delay and Slippage

B

Barak Bester

Hi,

When I log into PWA-->Server Settings--> Look & Feel --> Gantt Chart Formats, under several formats there are bars named "Slippage", "Delay", "Early Schedule" and "Late Schedule".

As we know, a bar should show a line between a Start Date and an End Date.

Does anyone understand what these bars use as Start Date and End Date?

Thanks,
Barak

Barak --

Microsoft has not documented precisely what each of these Gantt bar formats
represents, but I think I can speculate:

Slippage -- I believe this runs from the Baseline Finish date to the current
Finish date of each task.

Delay -- This shows the amount of Delay on a task, caused by leveling an
overallocated resource. You can actually see this information in the
Leveling Gantt view in Microsoft Project if you have leveled an
overallocated resource.

Early Schedule -- This runs from the Early Start date to the Early Finish
date of a task. This information is calculated by Microsoft Project to
determine whether a task is a Critical task.

Late Schedule -- This runs from the Late Start date to the Late Finish date
of a task. Again, this information is calculated by Microsoft Project to
determine whether a task is a Critical task.

Hope this helps.
