PWA / My Projects

Sittania

Hi all,

When I go to PWA, under * Projects/ My Projects*, I see my
projects AND some of other mangers projects. Why is that?

Thanks,
Sittania

The projects you are allowed to see in Microsoft Project 2002 and Project
Web Access are governed by your company's Project Server security settings,
specifically in the My Projects and My Organization categories. Depending
on how your company's security environment is set up, you may see only your
own projects, or you may see your projects plus a few other projects
belonging to other project managers, or you may see all projects in the
portfolio. You may want to check with your Project Server administrator to
see how the My Projects and My Organization categories have been set up for
your company. Hope this helps.

If you are a Resource Manager as well as a Project Manager
you may see all Projects that your Resources work on plus
what you manage. That's common in many organizations and
a real challenge for setting up security.

The Administrator should be able to explain exactly why
you are seeing what you are.
