PWA out of synch w/Project Server data

We're running Project Server 2003 and are experiencing reoccuring issues
where the data in PWA doesn't reflect the current status of projects on the
server. Our configuration is set to publish all information when the project
is saved.

Manually republishing the project (all information) doesn't cause the
project to resynch, while in some instances adding (and saving) a comment
line to the notes on a single task will cause the project to resynch with PWA.

Looking to buy a clue, so any thoughts would be approciated.
Thanks,
Dan

How are your options set on Tools > Options > Collaborate tab? By default,
not all task changes get updated on publish. You may need to adjust these
settings. I'm not a big fan of enabling publish on every save as it tends to
create an excessive publishing load on the server. Combined with autosave,
it can be downright dangerous.

Gary,
Thank for the response (sorry for the delay in followup). Looking at our
Collaborate tab our settings are:

1) Collaborate using: MS Office Project Server
2) Allow resources to delegate tasks using project server
3) Publish new and changed assignments when: Start, Finish, % Comp or
Outilin changes

The problem is sporadic. Out of roughly 150 projects on our server, we'll
end up with 5-10 different projects that may be out of synch at any one time.
I haven't been able to id and commonalities between the projects when I
stumble across the problem.

Thanks again,
Dan
PS - love the "Ultimate Learning Guide to MS Project 2007", waiting for the
server version.

You may want to select the option for "Any information changes" on the
Collaborate tab on the options page. You're not specific about exactly what
data is out of synch, so it's difficult to speculate on what might be going
wrong. Data corruption can cause this as well.

Gary,
In some instances it's things like the project information "status date",
while in others it has been different data related to a one or mare tasks
task.
