PWA - printing views

I am in the PMO office and provide support for multiple virtual Project
Managers. We have several types of administrative reports that go out to
clients each month but they have some things in common. I need to ensure
that the data presented in the mid-month report is presented in the same
manner (standardized) at the end of the month. The reports have standard
elements such as narrative summary and other narrative sections, but also
include the project action items (PWA Issues) and project risks (PWA Risks)
and project deliverables status (PWA Deliverables) and a few other data
tables I could create a PWA view for in the project center IMS .... now, how
do I pull these data tables out of PWA so I can insert them into my narrative
report? I am thinking I can get the narrative sections by creating an actual
PWA status report and exporting it to WORD . . . but i still need to drop
those data tables in....

Any ideas? I am not seeing a print feature and exporting all those tables
to excel for every project seems really intensive.

Hi,

I regularly create an automated Excel report that has RAG field
status,Tasks, Milestones, Risks, Issues and General worksheets all using
data imported into Excel (except for some manually entered comments) from
the Reporting database.

I use Excel VBA to do this with OLEDB code to read data from the Reporting
db. I can do this for you if you need it, contact me on: rodg AT
project-systems.co.nz with what you need.
